ArgenFields is a site where notices of properties for sale and rent are published, on a map with data on soil, climate and land registry. By using it you accept what follows.

What is ArgenFields and what is not

We publish notices. We are not a real estate agency, we are not brokers and we do not intervene in the negotiation: when someone interests you, the contact and everything that comes after happens between you and that person, without us in the middle.

We do not charge commission for the operation. Neither a percentage of the sale, nor the rent, nor anything tied to you closing the deal. We do charge for posting above a certain amount and for some tools on the site: there is a free plan and there are paid plans, and the prices are on the pricing page.

This means that we do not verify the ownership of the properties published, nor the accuracy of the price, nor the improvements declared by the publisher. We review ads before they appear, but that review is editorial—that the ad is complete, factual, and well placed—not a legal audit or an appraisal.

Technical data is indicative

The technical report of each property —soil, land capability, productivity index, plant available water, rainfall, water balance— is calculated on official soil survey maps at scales between 1:50.000 and 1:500.000. At that scale, a millimeter on paper is between 50 and 500 meters on the ground. It is used to compare properties and to discard; it does not replace a study by soil done in paddock.

Each data is shown with the scale of the soil survey map from which it came, and when there is no soil survey map surveyed for that location we say so instead of filling in with an average. If a number matters to you when deciding, go to the source: it is cited.

The polygon and surface area shown in the provincial cadastre are a reference, not a title. The valid surface area is that of the registered measurement. Where the organization does not publish surface area, we calculate it on the perimeter and say it: that number is even less exact.

Post a notice

To publish you need an account. By publishing you declare that property exists, that it is for sale or for rent under the conditions you describe, and that you are authorized to offer it.

Unable to publish:

  • a property about which you have no right to offer nor authorization from the person who has it;
  • personal data of third parties—name, telephone number, document—without their consent;
  • photos that are not yours nor do you have permission to use;
  • information that you know is false: surface, improvements, access, water or road conditions;
  • the same property several times to take up more space in the list.

We may reject, pause or terminate an advertisement that violates this. When we reject it, we tell you why, so you can correct it.

The photos you upload

You remain the owner of your photos. By uploading them you authorize us to show them in the notice, in the list and in the previews that are generated when someone shares the link. Nothing more: we do not sell them, we do not give them away and we do not use them for anything else. If you unsubscribe the notice, they stop showing.

The translated texts

The site is in four languages. The titles and descriptions of the advertisements are automatically translated and this is indicated on the page: a machine translation can make mistakes right where it matters—surfaces, improvements, conditions—so in the event of any differences, the original text in Spanish is valid.

Data from public sources

The layers of soil, climate, cadastre and forests come from public organizations—INTA, IGN, provincial cadastres, SEGEMAR, ministries—and each one is shown with the attribution that its license requires. That attribution is not translated or rewritten, because changing the name of an organization is a breach of the license.

You can look and use what you see on the site. What you cannot do is automatically download the content to rebuild the base elsewhere: in addition to being a use that we do not authorize, it punishes public services that are not designed for that.

Paid plans

The site can be used for free: search, view the map with all its layers, read the complete ads - price, area, location and photos - and publish up to the number of ads indicated by the free plan. The calculated technical report of each property —soil, climate, relief, suitability, distances and production output— opens completely for a quantity of properties per week, which is indicated on the pricing page; after that amount, a portion continues to be seen and the rest is left for the paid plans. The quota is counted by property and not by visit: a property that you have already opened does not discount again during the week, and is renewed on Monday. The comparison tool has its own weekly quota, also indicated on the pricing page, and it is counted by combination of properties and not by visit: reopening a comparison you have already built does not discount again.

The native forest alert (Law 26,331) has no quota and is never cut: it is always complete, with or without an account and with any plan. It is the information that can prevent a ruinous purchase and we do not put it behind a payment.

Prices are in US dollars and payment is processed by Stripe. Depending on your bank and your country, a payment in foreign currency may have taxes or fees that we do not charge and that we do not control: check your card statement.

The plan automatically renews at the end of each period – monthly, semi-annual or annual, depending on which you choose – until you cancel it. The cancellation is done from your account, online, without writing to anyone: it stops renewing and you keep access until the date you have already paid. There is no refund for the current period, because nothing of what you paid is taken away.

If you try the site with the free trial, you need to load a card and the first charge is made at the end of the trial, unless you cancel it before. We tell you the exact date before you confirm.

If your plan expires or you cancel it, nothing is deleted, but it changes how many notices you see at the same time. The oldest ones are published up to the limit of the free plan and the rest are paused: they remain yours, with their photos and their report, and you can choose which ones are shown within that limit. If you hire again, the slow ones return alone. Featured ads are no longer featured when the plan ends.
There is only one thing that does not recover on its own. While an ad of yours is published or paused, no one else can publish that same property. If it is paused due to lack of plan for more than ninety days, that reservation is released and another person can publish it. Your notice is not deleted and you can republish it whenever you want, unless by then property it has already been published by someone else.

Within ten calendar days of contracting, you can regret it and request a refund, as mandated by Resolution 424/2020. The button is on the regret page, you do not need to be logged in and we give you a management code at the time.

Availability

Much of what you see depends on services from public organizations that we do not control and that sometimes fail. When it happens we say it on the screen instead of showing an empty map, but we cannot guarantee that the site will always be available or that all layers will respond.

Changes

If these terms change, we update the date above. Substantive changes are notified on the site; continuing to use it after that means you accept them.

Applicable law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Argentine Republic, and any controversy is submitted to the ordinary courts with jurisdiction in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires.
