Cadastral reference in Jujuy: how to read it and how to find it

How to read it

In Jujuy the cadastral reference is made up of these fields, from general to specific:

Level	What it is	Characters
Departamento (letra)	The department, identified by a letter instead of a number.	1
Circunscripción	The first cadastral division within the partido or departamento, usually with a Roman numeral.	2
Sección	The subdivision of the circunscripción, almost always with a letter.	2
Manzana	The city block surrounded by streets.	2
Parcela	The specific property: the plot with its own boundaries.	2
Unidad funcional	The condominium unit: an apartment or shop within a building.	3

Characters are the length of each field in the roll the provinces report to AFIP.

Jujuy identifies each department with a letter, and that letter heads both the cadastral reference and the padrón: «D-709» is padrón 709 in department D, San Pedro.

The tax roll number in Jujuy

Padrón (department letter + number): this is what the property tax account is called in Jujuy. It is not the cadastral reference: the reference says where the parcel is, the tax roll number identifies the tax account.

In the title deed, in the section that describes the parcel, together with its measurements and boundaries.
On the provincial property tax bill, next to the tax roll number.
